Virtualization is a technology very interesting that in recent years is being imposed in the world of 'IT significantly as it adds a number of important advantages especially in the professional: the' hardware abstraction makes it possible to manage virtual machines in a dynamic by moving easily from one server to another and setting up a dynamic system resources to be used.
But virtualization can be very useful in consumer reality in the small home: Think about the case where there is a need to create a backup of a fully functional computer before reinstalling. There are many virtualization software, but the most common are Windows Virtual PC, Virtual Box and VMware Workstation: nonstante it is very powerful and robust applications, none of them allows you to turn a computer into a virtual machine in a simple and fast. Fortunately, this limit has recently been superseded by Disk2VHD, a utility released by Sysinternals able to migrate the entire contents of a computer into a virtual hard disk (VHD).
Operation is simple and immediate Disk2VHD also because it requires no installation; Here is how to convert your PC into a virtual machine in seconds and effortlessly:

Was so simple ...
I tried the operation on the mentioned but not even the creation of the image to virtualize (VHD file)!
Instead check the following error: "ERROR SNAPSHOTING Volumes" (both notebooks and on disk!)
What's the catch?
Thanks for reporting. Veeery interesting. I think we'll try!
I tried the software, but right now there 'inaccuracy in the article, the VHD format is not' recognized by VMware. At least from player.
And now that I've tried it say it's not even go with VMware Workstation, unfortunately.
